I've always had this desire to deconstruct and reconstruct various email exchanges. I think they can make for odd and interesting dialogue. The following is an exchange between me and friend Jim (mostly via salutations):
Craig: Happy Boxing Day. C
Jim: Is today Boxing Day? Jim
Craig: Boxing Day is December 26. Happy New Year's Eve. C
Jim: Happy Guy Fawkes Day, J to the F
Craig: Nice reference. I had to look that up. Happy Bastille Day. C
